The recumbent trike – affectionately known as a bent – is the rambler of the cycling world. The rider is relaxed in what can only be called an easy chair with pedals. When pedalling becomes tiring, pull over in the shade to relax and smell the roses, take a drink or read a good book.
Riding a recumbent trike is just plain fun. It is all your childhood go-cart should have been.
I have created this blog to help people like myself – riders of recumbent trikes for recreation. I use my recumbent trikes to visit new places and enjoy the journey.
I will also be looking at how you can improve your riding experience with changes to tyres, gearing or adding e-Assist – anything and everything that makes riding more accessible, fun and enjoyable.
What use is an excellent trike without great rides? I will be blogging on my own trips and those contributed by you if you will. Just send me your text, images and map (preferably a Strava, MapMyRide or BikeMap link) and I will put it together for you. Alternatively, if you are WordPress conversant I can give you the ability to create your own pages.
Let’s have some fun together.
