Improved Plumbing for Water Tanks

A complaint I hear everywhere I go concerns the filling and use of multiple water tanks. I bought a second-hand Traxx with dual 95-litre tanks. Typically, I can only fill one tank. Sometimes, I can try various “fixes” and get the second tank to fill. I still only have one tank to empty as we need and use water.

Pechey Forest, established over a century ago, is located south of Crows Nest. It features well-graded roads and shaded areas, ideal for cycling, despite repetitive scenery. The area includes a notable fire watch tower and various service roads. The forestry project commenced in the 1920s, with updated infrastructure for monitoring.

Crows Nest – Byers Road Loop

The ride involved challenging climbs of over 10% gradient on loose gravel, requiring careful and slow descents. The route included sections on the New England Highway with light Sunday traffic. The total time exceeded four hours due to automatic start-stop errors. Despite the tough conditions, the ride offered excellent exercise and notable sightings like a Southern Cross windmill and 5G coverage throughout.
