    The pedals connect to the crankset. The crankset connects to the chain. The chain attaches to the cassette or sprocket. The cassette connects to the rear wheel. The sprocket connects to the internal hub gears. The internal hub gears connect to the wheel. The wheel supports the tire. The tire connects to the road. Forward we go. Isn’t that simple?
